I was 12 years old when I announced to the world my intention to be an orthodontist. Going through braces myself at the time, I was absolutely fascinated by the unique combination of art and science. Now, more than ten years into my career, I find myself becoming more passionate about the specialty every single day. I love that we have the ability to change people’s self-esteem, grow their confidence, and alter their self-worth just by creating a beautiful smile.
Education and Continuing Education
- Bachelor of Science in geological sciences – University of Michigan
- Doctorate of Dental Surgery – University of Illinois Chicago
- Master of Science and specialty license – University of Illinois Chicago
By attending meetings nationwide and actively participating in multiple study groups, we find the tools and ideas not just to create great smiles, but provide an experience for our families unlike anything they’ve had before. My involvement in the American Association of Orthodontists and the American Dental Association, as well as their local affiliates, allows me to continue my education in all aspects of orthodontics and dentistry.
Family and Community
My wife and practice partner, Dr. Barbara Siargos, and I have two children, Ellie and Marco. We also have two adorable dogs, Jack and Paulie. When I’m not in the office, I enjoy cheering for the Chicago White Sox, traveling to visit my wife’s family in Greece, watching movies, and drawing. As a family, we love to eat, especially when Dr. Siargos is cooking!
For six years, Dr. Siargos and I have been supporters of the Glenview Education Foundation and the Youth Services of Glenview/Northbrook. As a family and a practice, we participate in the Tall Trees Turkey Trot every year (rain or shine)! And personally, we are supporters of On Your Feet Foundation, an organization dedicated to supporting birth mothers as they rebuild their lives after placing a child for adoption.
