I love being an orthodontist and truly can’t imagine doing anything else. My profession gives me the privilege of working with so many people each day, be it patients, parents, colleagues, and team members. Each of those relationships teaches me something new about the world and helps me grow, both personally and professionally.
At the end of the day, my greatest hope is that my patients have enjoyed their time in our practice, felt supported throughout their treatment, and love the smile they will carry with them the rest of their lives.
Family and Community
My husband (and practice partner), Dr. Matt Israel, and I have two children, Elly and Marco, and two dogs, Annie (everyone's favorite family member) and Toula. We are a Glenview family and love this community for our practice and our kids! Spend enough time at Blufish, Trader Joe's, or Dairy Queen and you're bound to run into us!
Outside of work, I love to cook (and eat), walk our dogs (especially with friends), read books (the sadder the better), and travel (especially to visit my relatives in Greece!)
As a practice and a family, we are proud to support the organizations who work tirelessly to improve the lives of those around them. I believe that when you have the ability to help, you also have the responsibility to do so. We are all in to keeping this community a great place to live!
Education and Continuing Education
- Bachelor of Arts in Biological Sciences – University of Chicago
- Doctorate of Dental Surgery – University of Illinois in Chicago
- Master of Science and Orthodontic specialty license – Marquette University
Listening to other orthodontists speak about their practices and their techniques, whether in formal meetings or casual study group conversations, always gives us new ideas and encourages us to think outside the box. This is how we continue to grow and improve ourselves, and in turn, help our patients improve their smiles. As a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Midwest Society of Orthodontists, and the Illinois Society of Orthodontists, I keep current on advances in my profession that could benefit my patients’ treatment and overall orthodontic experience.
