Meet the Orthodontists
 Dr. Matthew Israel and Dr. Barbara Siargos both grew up in the nearby suburbs of Northbrook and Skokie. After graduating from Glenbrook North High School, Dr. Israel went to the University of Michigan where he completed his Bachelor of Science in Geological Sciences. Dr. Siargos, a Niles West High School alum, completed her undergraduate education at the University of Chicago where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Biological Sciences.Drs. Israel and Siargos finally crossed paths as classmates in dental school at the University of Illinois at Chicago. They both knew they wanted to pursue careers as orthodontists so after graduating from dental school, Dr. Israel stayed at the University of Illinois to complete his orthodontic residency training while Dr. Siargos completed her residency at Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI. Upon Dr. Siargos' return home, the couple was married in Chicago and currently live in Skokie. And in January 2012, they were blessed with the adoption of their perfect baby girl, Ellie Marie! Now their time is spent working, talking teeth, playing with their two pug mixes, Jack and Paulie and enjoying their beautiful daughter! Dr. Siargos enjoys cooking, yoga, and traveling (especially to Greece to visit her family!) Dr. Israel, on the other hand, prefers to torture himself by playing golf and obsessing over the White Sox. Incidentally, he really enjoys eating Dr. Siargos' cooking. Since completing their residency programs, they have been practicing in different offices in the Chicagoland area but their ultimate goal has always been to practice together close to where they grew up. |
